Stoned Ass Modest Mouse Cover

Delco life.

Sabbath Saturdays/ I Love My Bicycle/ Top Five Tunes To Please Your Ears

Of course I build my bike up back from Texas and the weather drops 45 degrees. Brick as fuck out, I guess everyone in Ridley/Philly does heroin now, but thats not new news. Its just a shame. It seemed that percocet 30's were putting dope dealers out of business due to them costing $25.00 each, so dope dealers decide that if they raise the price to $30.00 a pill the user will eventually realize that they are spending too much money that as their tolerance goes up, and sadly it is cheaper for these poor saps to get a bag of dope for ten bucks, and boom that drug dealer has a customer for life or until they get busted by the narcos or shot in the face by the Barksdale Organization.
Or maybe Marlo will come to Delco and start putting bodies in the vacant buildings in Chester City.
Welcome to Chester: PROTECT YA NECK!
This drug problem in the area isn't a laughing matter I've had friends OD which sucks but if your sticking a needle up your arm thinking you are Sid Vicious the party ends one day. Thats all I can really say about that.
But back on topic due to rain, I don't really have too much BMX shit to talk about aside from I love my bicycle. Thanks to my boy Joe Stakun and FBM Bikes for making this Documentary happen, this goes out for TAG,winning a pool tourtament being in his current health should prove to everyone that Mike  is tougher than you, Get well brother,Mike is tough as nails.
We all love you here in the BMX industry and the people who looked up to you as a bike rider but its beyond that point, you are beyond legend. Bmx wouldn't be the same without your constant assault in the nineties and early 2000's without seeing Mr. Tag grinding every rail and downstair ledge in his site. Scerbo and I had this one conversation about Mike's trail style as well. Most kids now days try to hard to aim for style whipping their bikes around like Brian Deegan, (no offense to trail riders, you are all sick)

But Mike had such a natural style it always stuck out to me as being classic and it still holds up today. Best downside tables, and regular tables. along with pedal grinding and pretty much putting ledge/rail feebles on the map, Tag's influence is way deeper in BMX's roots than you may know,
More Tag action!
Help Tag out by picking up the Scerbo made Skategoat 6 which is available from Empire its worth it not just to help out a fellow BMX rider but Ralph has so much fire in this video Get on that shit!
$14.95
each copy of Skapegoat 6 burned by Bob Scerbo, 100% of all proceeds go to the Mike Tag fund, includes a 28-page zine featuring Bob's photos related to the video

But I ride an FBM Steadfast Anthem edition and I just ride street mostly and it rides like a fucking dream to the point where everyone in town back home and even in Austin knows that my bike is my bike, from the Animal Bob bars, to the Anthem headtube badge steal my baby and have fun breathing thru a tube in the ICU you fucking bike thieving suburban nerds, go listen to ICP and suck down some Faygo like you'd suck your best Juggalo boys cock because Violent J told you it wasn't homo.
Well not that there is anything wrong i you like blowing dudes, I love women and why wouldn't you. The Vagina is a beautiful thing unless its not taken care of and you get sober whisky dick. Which mostly means your pussy is just gross and I'd rather jerk off. God I hate 97 percent of women from the Philadelphia area. Why can't I transport my friends from Austin down here to chill and go for a walk since the girl in Philly I was super into stoped answering my texts and calls which sucked because I was into  her for 7 years now and was too much of a pussy to ask her on a date until a week ago, she agreed and then fell of the face of the planet, sucks, But I'll survive!
Here is my bike riding photo of the day, be sure to follow me on Twitter @Schnell1985 and @thealbionbmx
Enough about here are three of the photos of the day son!
This is a still from Bob Scerbo from this old FBM Roadtrip you may've seen in Props
Be sure to pick up a copy of SKAPEGOAT 6 from Empire BMX .512 474 4269
Ratman Killing it on the East as usual, I think Dolecki took this photo
Lastly Dave Parrick doing one sick nac nac I took the photo from an old issue of Ride UK with my IPhone. Classics are classics. And Diamond Dave does the best Smtih Grinds ever, but also the best one footed x-ups and Nac Nacs.
Sorry for the delay but here are my top six tunes since waking up today, enjoy!
1.The Devils Blood-The Heavens Cry Out For The Devils Blood
 2.Disma-Toward The Megalith

3. Interpol-Roland

4. US Bombs- Thats Life

5.Jawbreaker-Bad Scene Everyones Fault ( I wish I wrote these lyrics)
I went to a party last night.
What sick things I saw.
Makeout sessions and bicycle messengers,
Punks and art school dropouts.
I ran into this guy I knew
But hadn't seen in years.
We went into the neon kitchen and stole a couple beers.
He said his girl had dumped him
But there was another guy.
He said that he still liked her.
All I could say was,
"Why, why, oh why, oh why,
Why is it always like this?
Either you're too mean, or you're too nice."
He said, "I even cooked her breakfast."
So we went into the living room.
Someone was blasting Zeppelin.
It sounded good.
I felt ashamed.
I knew every drum fill.
Anyway, there she sat,
Totally kissing this guy.
They looked good, I mean like in love.
Then I remembered my friend.
He said, "How could you do this?
You said that you needed your space.
He's wearing the shirt that I gave you."
Then she said, "Why, why, oh why, oh why,
Why are you always like this?
If I'm having fun then it's breaking your heart.
Besides, you said I could have it."
Then the cops showed up.

6.Radio birdman-Murder City Nights

Happy Saturday! I have a $15 gift card to Applebees  if anyone would like to get some food its on me! Lunch or dinner, hit me up.

Throbbing Fridays Thrash-o-Rama Top Five Philly Bands/Videos/Songs At The Moment

I scored a writing job with The Albion BMX Magazine! So stoked!!
One of the best nights of my life.
Austin </3
Philly's finest are on my play list tonight, top five Philly based bands to enjoy on this March evening.
1.Ink & Dagger, well what more can be said aside from INCREDIBLE. If you don't know who this band is please eat a loaded shot gun, or buy their records.

2. My Thrashoholics from West Philly BSOM. We played some sick basement shows with these homeboys and partied hard. Especially when we just sat at the BSOM merch table after helping Destruction load in their tour bus into the FU Church in Philly and getting piss drunk. Municipal Waste and Toxic Holocaust played as well and I made out with this cute girl. Great show, great riffs.R.I.P

3.Atom and His Package I was lucky enough to have bowl master Ryan Corrigan let me listem to Atom And His Package in 1998 at camp Woodward and I was hooked. I couldn't find the youtube video for Philadelphia but this is brilliant and brings back memories. I bought this record at Repo Records in Bryn Mawr next to the old Little Devil Store and I had a crush on the one indie chick who worked there, I even would ask her what records she would suggest and buy them when Mark her co-worker was working then come back in and talk to her about the bands like I knew what I was talking about, it was cute. FUCK YOU@ I wonder what she is doing now. I think she works at the Repo on South Street. Hmmm <3

4. Serpent Throne I saw with OM sick instrumental metal from Philly, get into it and bang your head and pass the blunt!
5. All Else Failed, this is their full set from This Is Hardcore and there is really not much else I can say except All Else Failed is one of the best bands ever, Enjoy! WE BOTH LOSEEEEE!
Hope you enjoyed your taste of Philly with a fist in your face!

Ran into Bobby Liebling at 7-11 in Ridley Park tonight and a token BMX photo of Cory Foust

FOREVER MY QUEEN! He looked good. Doom on brother!
(((fuck yes)))
Also forgot I had this sick photo of Cory Foust doing this bowl transfer at House Skatepark in Austin into the eight foot deepend. Cory is an APE!
sick guy!
NOWISON I GOT MY BIKE BACK FROM AUSTIN, LETS SHRED!

A glimpse into the non BMX cycle scene in Austin Texas

Texas Life Son.

I asked a friend of mine and Austin shredder Elysa some questions regarding cycling in Austin Texas:

    • Very happy with this question and answer I hope you enjoy it to.
      Hey Elaina
I'm gonna ask you some questions for my blog:
First off thank you for doing this for me, so here we go.
I'm gonna shoot you ten questions and just answer them the best you can.
      1. Being from the mighty Keystone State, what brought you to Austin Texas in the first place?
A boy. He goes by the graff alias as Sayer. He's back at the 'burgh. Shout out to him, Yeti, Lingo, Eore, and whatever Greg writes.

       2. You work at one of the best beer garden/restaurants in Austin, Easy Tiger. I was so stoked when you brought me over that massive soft pretzel since it not only was it one of the best soft pretzels I've ever had and I'm from Philly. What is your favorite dish as opposed to the most popular food on the menu?
I too, love that pretzel, but I'd have to say it's a tie between the lamb marguez sausage, served on a bun made of that amazing pretzel goodness, topped with romesco sauce. The Hill Country Board is bomb because it's served with pickled veggies, venison pate (with cranberries and pistachio crammed in there), elk sausage and Levain bread. Oh, and DUH, the Left Hand Milk Stout with a quick shoot of the 'ol Jameson.

3.What kind of bicycle do you shred the streets of Austin with, and do you think that you could take me on a race on my BMX?
I'm on an Affinity (Brooklyn) frame/fork. Phil Wood hubs, Deep-V's, blah, blah. It's fast and brakeless, and yes, i'll crush you on that bmx. C'mon, now...

      4. Austin seems to have an amazing bicycle community with everyone helping out everyone regardless if your on a single speed, fixie, bmx, or even a beach cruiser. Stores like Fast Folks and Empire BMX seem to be hubs for two different types of bike riding but I feel a mutual respect, something that I feel the East Coast cycling scene lacks. What do you feel sets a shop like fast folks apart from other bike shops in town?

We are one big happy family. It doesn't matter what you ride just as long as you ride. Natalie (owner) and all of her friends are bad ass chicks that ride hard AND we're all some hot betches. ( I was told to spell that that way and Elysa will beat my ass haaa :) )

      5. Sidebar, or Boxed wine midnight bike rides?

. d. all of the above.

      6. How often do you participate in Ladies Rides thru the city, and have you ever had a bat fly into your hair?
Every Wednesday that I can. It's a gaggle of goodness. No, I have not, but i once helped rescue one in California. It was stuck in a fence. Super soft hair on their back. We hissed at each other.

      7. What do you miss most about Pittsburgh?

Holy shit, everything. My friends, the metal scene, the rap scene, The Beehive, Meditteranean (sp?) food, the architecture, the museums, the art scene itself, the hills. God, I miss the hills. The train tracks, smokin' at the Mon, The Zenith, the d.j.'s. EVERYTHING.

8.Any plans to ever hit up Philly for some bike riding? I can't wait to comeback down to Austin and cruise with you.

Fuck yes. I love Philly. Don't be surprised if I choose to move there in the future for a bit. It was actually a toss up between Philly and Austin at first.

      • 9. Why bicycles? What pushes you on a daily basis to put your gloves on bomb hills, drink a lonestar and wear a smile on your face?

Honestly? My ass. I need to keep it in shape. I just so happen to love danger and being an asshole on my bike. Bombing hills through traffic is so much fun. I'm good at it. Near death experiences are exhilerating. (GREAT FUCKING ANSWER!!)

What are your top five favorite records or live acts at the moment?
Geez. This is hard. Um, New Kids On the Block, Municipal Waste, Amebix, Complete Failure, the Subhumans. Im'ma throw a wild card and list M.I.A. She's nuts. These are all of my top favorite 5 acts I've seen live. I think. I can't list albums because there are too many and I like alot of different stuff. But, I fuckin' love the first album of Brutal Truth. Hands down #1

        Awesome humans with awesome answers.
Me doing a wallride in Austin off a curb cut. Sick.

Delco Legend Of The Week #1: Walt At Rita's Folsom Market And A Banger I filmed In Austin That I Can't Use Due To It Being Filmed Like Total Shit, Massive Wallride Clip I Did Three Times, Not One Gives It Justice Or Is Filmed Correctly FML. At Least I Got It Done, It Was At This Asian Joint On 37th st and Guadalupe North Of UT, March 28th Tunes and Some Pentagram Footage From Their Documentary Mostly Based On Bobby And His Problems... Enjoy This Post There Is Alot To Take In. I Love My Readers.

-Bacon Egg And Cheese, on a Big One. Not a large, but a "BIG ONE." Speak your order wrong and chances are Walt will murder you and use your bones to make his bed and have violent intercourse with your rotting corpse in the Well Of Souls located under the storm door in the back. I missed Walt and all the myths and stories of little children devoured by his army of Satanic rats that dwell on the property which is actually one of the legendary lost by time Seven Gates To Hell.
Its hard to put into words how amazing it is to have a bodega here in Ridley PA that serves some of the best breakfast sandwiches in the world. Hell even the Skavenger/Animal homies try to hit it up when everyone is staying with Tom White in South Philly. When we were children Tom used to steal handfuls of Swedish Fish off of Walt when he would turn his back to make one of his legendary ,"BIG ONE OR LITTLE ONE" breakfast sandwiches. For the price and the sheer speed alone Walt himself is in my opinion the hoagie king of Delco. I just paid $3.00 for this and gave him a dollar tip because I knew if he caught me filming I would probably be castrated and my cock made into bacon strips. But if you are ever on a Delco tour or crash at my crib or know Tom White, or Navaz make them take you to eat at Walt's you won't be let down. I mean the NYC/Jersey Animal crew even knows what's up. "Thats Eddystone yo!" But in reality with all the amazing sandwich joints in North Jersey, Philly, and NYC to have dudes like Scerbo, Edwin, Ratman all trying to eat there whenever they are filming in Philadelphia to get their food on should give you an idea of how amazing and inexpensive it is to get your stomach full. Navazio, myself, James Bencrowsky, and the rest of our crew used to hit up Walt's for food after FDR when we were in high school, and then sometimes before going to Title Ten Skatepark on Columbus Blvd in 2004. The video below will show you how to properly order without getting murdered and fed to the pigs, or even worse your family when they want a BLT. Here is the address and phone number if you are interested in some delicious food, and some cryptic shit coming out of the man himself.
Rita's Folsom Market aka Walts
600 Folsom Avenue  Folsom, PA 19033
(610) 532-2425

The proof is in the pudding as they say, or in Walt's case in his Meat Grinder!
Oh yeah if you have a Twitter don't be a chode rider and follow me @Schnell1985

This following clip is what happens when someone who rarely films with their amazing
Sony VX don't know how to film makes you think that they know
what they are doing when in reality they are clueless.
Its just a shame because I don't even know if this set up is there
but its exactly 1,640 miles away.
I'm happy the kid filmed it but making me do this more than once and
pressing record late just bothers me.
Thats life I guess. I'll find a new banger since this looks like pre-school shit,
believe me this was no joke hence ghost riding my bike
after clearing the huge concrete island after the actual gap to wall.
FUCK I WISH THIS WAS FILMED GOOD.
Still thanks for whom ever filmed it, I know I pulled it perfect the first two tries, the first one wasn't filmed,
the second was filmed too late, and the third just is a horrible angle and shot.
Sorry to rant, Im just bummed.
I'll find a BIG one for Walt when filing begins for the Delco Brand DVD. Cheers.
See what I mean, D'OH!

<3

He's not a fucking monster Tunes For This March Afternoon:

Speaking of Pentagram I ran into Bobby at my local bank he actually looked good. Compared to what he looked like in the Pentagram Documentary.
PPeep this trailer for a documentary coming out soon about Bobby and Pentagram.
Kenny!
Bobby is a living legend and a hero to us Doom heads, I wish him nothing but the best!

EVERY BAND ON THIS BILL IS WORTH SEEING, HAIL SATAN!

And for all of you non metal heads or all you heads puffin on some green this is for you

Calling Mike Taylor, Nathan Williams, Van, and Corey Martinez. This rail is in North Austin a tad past Campus I saw no marks on it. I guess kids soap shoe it cause there isn't a peg scratch to be seen. I'm back in Philly now so its anyones to grind at the moment, and I wanted to do it opposite since I'm not grinding up that beast.

I love this section @Corey_Martinez
I don't know shit about Scion cars but I do know they released a free Magrudergrind EP record which is AMAZING! I played a show with Magrudergrind December 31st 2004 at the Stabin Cabin on 48th and Ludrow in West Philly for New Years Eve when I was in Skeleton Proof Tanks, what an amazing show.
And my old band Skeleton Proof Tanks a day after playing a show with Napalm Death, Arsis, Animosity, and A Life Once Lost at Bruce Springsteen's old stomping grounds The Stone Pony back in 2006, enjoy or talk some shit haha.
I can't believe this was so long ago haha. Wow.
We were no ones role models....
I wish I still had copies of our records, we were signed to three labels throughout our career if you want to call it a career.
As everyone knows I'm not a fan of Jesus Christ or organized religion at all John Decaprio at Deathstar is though and I respect that, even though we have two totally different views, I've been a friend since 1998 when we met at Woodward and in August he took me to a pool in NJ that his family owned but had sold the house, I have a few clips in this, I think I'm the only dude with four pegs so I'm not hard to miss. This thing was pure cheese grater concrete, tighter than the tightest pussy in all the seven seas, but man was it a blast. And hell he edited it to At The Drive In. So enjoy this pool session, help John out with Deathstar, but if your like me and Satan is my co-pilot at least respect other peoples beliefs even if Johnny probably thinks I'm a jinx haa I'm just a fan of the Darkness. I'm all for Christening The Afterbirth, And Destroying The Parasite, Destroy Jesus Christ. But when it comes to BMX we are all just grown men on children's bikes having fun and that matters more than having any sort of savior or belief system. Believe in yourself, not what some book says and listen to King Diamond.
