Seventeen Reasons To Die Wearing Black

I have alot to discuss for those of you who enjoy reading this blog. As you may've noticed ,"Inverted Seatpost" is now THE MONT. Based out of my hometown of Milmont Park, expect the same stuff except for web edits in the near future from known and unknown dudes on their bmx bikes. So here is some eye candy and some treats for your ears. Don't forget the Mike Tag Cancer Jam at Havertown Skatepark This Sunday at 10am behind the Haverford Police Station. Get rad and win prizes and help donate some cash for Mike and his massive bills. Heath Care here in the states sucks dongs. We love you Mike, thanks for all of the inspiration for Double Pegging ledges before feeble grinding them as a child!

Terrorizer Tuesdays

Here is a new edit from Delco local and young blood Mike Devlin. Some pretty sweet rail moves in this for a kid in high school. Pretty dope to see kids progress being under the age of 18 when it comes to BMX, stoked on Mike's new edit. So give it a watch, and check out todays tunes in light of the 5.8 magnitude earthquake we got here in the Philadelphia/Delco area.
Cheers! This new Jeff Wescott edit is some serious fire from one of The Gully Factory's main homeboys.

Monday Moaning Edit Of The Day

Johnny D. Is not on TNT, but he pumped out this fire today. I've known Decaprio since the summer of 1999 and he still kills it on a daily basis. Who needs camera men anyways?

Fear And Loathing In Friday, Your Weekly Friday Jams

Jonah Matranga is one of my favorite non metal artists in the music world. Very underrated and talented is a simple description of Jonah's musical ventures in such acts as: New And Original, Onelinedrawing, Far, and his own other solo projects. If you enjoy good tunes with amazing lyrics that you can easily relate to I highly suggest checking out these four tunes below. Happy Friday kids!

And the photo of the day goes to Mike Taylor for being such a beast on his BMX. Best street rider in the world right there representing Wazza and making the United Kingdom proud! I just put on a pair of BSD WZA handlebars yesterday and instantly fell in love with the way they feel. Along with the new CultxVans grips my bike feels great.

I got a raw pair of the bars. Amazing, check out the specs and get some!

Sorry I've Been Slacking

But Im knee deep into George R.R Martin's Massive, "A Song Of Fire And Ice" books. Im lurking around page 834 of book 2, "A Clash Of Kings". Fucking brilliant in my eyes. If you happen to be too lazy to read a REAL book anymore or just like good television be sure to check out book one in the HBO series, "Game Of Thrones".
If you haven't watched or read, "Game Of Thrones" the following video contains spoilers that WILL ruin surprises and plot twists that make these books and series so enjoyable.
In some BMX shit that is going on in the Delco/Philadelphia area there is the last jam and fundraiser that I will be doing here on the East Coast until my move to Austin Texas in late October. Peep the flyer, come out for a good time, and help a fellow rider in the form of FBM legend Mike Tag. Lets do this!

Copy and paste this all over the place. Get rad. I'd like a more professional looking or D.I.Y style flyer if anyone is interested so we can have two different versions. Im a savage.
I really need to figure out how to get Vimeo working on this blog. The new Sun Ringle edit is so dope.
And some tunes for you ladies and gentlemen.
Enjoy.

Happy Friday

Get sick. Haha the commentary alone is hilarious. The bike riding is massive.

Watch More Arrested Development and Larry David For President 2012

The infamous, "Wee Crab" Kriss Kyle posted this new Duo UK edit on his Facecrook so I posted it here. Shit is rad.
Fuck you Fox! Best non animated television program ever.
Simply brilliant. Buy that shit up! You will more than likely end up watching all three seasons in a row.
You seriously cannot go wrong with Arrested Development if you'd like a laugh. Or Curb Your Enthusiasm which has been amazing this new season. Larry David is the best dude alive. Much love LD.
One of the best scenes ever in the series 8 seasons.
If I ever heard someone use the term, "LOL" in real life I'd slap em in the dick.
Michael Richards: So Duberstein, that's a Jewish name right?
Leon: Yes it is! I was adopted by some lovely Jews.
Michael Richards: And you were Bar Mitzvahed?
Leon: Oh yeah, three times! The last time was a few months ago in Atlantic City.
Michael Richards: But I thought you only got Bar Mitzvahed once, you know, when you're 13 years old.
Leon: No, No, No-No, You misunderstood, it's once every thirteen years. You gotta recharge the Mitzva! So the Mitzvas are kinda full. Capacity! At full mitzva capacity!
Michael Richards: So, tell me about the groats?
Leon: Well... Everything I ate tasted like peaches. And I forgot how to multiply. I could subtract, but I couldn't multiply. If I'm fucking 6 women 3 times a day, 7 days a week, how many times per week am I fucking? Was it 10? Was it 130? Was it 16? I was tripping out.
Michael Richards: whew, that's some weird stuff.
Leon: You tellin' me. Danny Duberstein is good at two things - -that's math and fucking.

Listen to Pig Destroyer.

Bmx Is Cool. (rantspace v.3) & The Simpsons Clips Of The Week #1

Peep this new Deathstar edit John sent through.
I have a few clips in this, so keep your eyes peeled. Now that health is almost finally back in my left leg after 3 years of bullshit knee and foot trouble Im pretty much back to health. A pre move to Austin Texas edit to say so long to alot of my favorite local spots will be in the works as soon as I find someone who would be down to film and edit the project, know what equipment to use, and just be down for fun.
I always wanted to film something recently that I could be proud of for a while. I still enjoy watching this  edit from 2005 when I had my Canon GL-2 (rubbish). All in all I've been super stoked on riding recently, along with the order of my BSD "Mike Taylor" Signature WZA Frame. Thank you Empire Bmx for ordering the frame in for me!

Riding with four pegs has made everything feel so fresh for me, I can't imagine riding without them anymore. Speaking of BSD after spending a week partying and riding with my brothers from across the pond and the Midwest while they were on Holiday before Props Megatour 10, which is being released. Check out the trailer if you'd like. Sick Guy.

And onto a new non BMX feature which features some of my personal favorite clips from the BEST cartoon on television, "The Simpsons". This week features well... a tie for two of my favorite moments from the series past making my old bones chuckle as yet another thunderstorm rolls past. Fingers crossed that my dinner plans with a lady friend aren't ruined due to shite weather. Anyways enjoy! The Simpsons Clips Of The Week. Cheers.
1.  The Joey Jo-Jo Junior Shabadoo Incident

2.  The Home of Frank Grimes or "Grimy" as he liked to be called.

Record Of The Day: Ghost-Opus Eponymous

Where to start writing about my favorite Metal record since Mastodon-Leviathan? Well if you're a fan of the Dark Lorde Satan such as myself, Mercyful Fate, and Blue Oyster Cult then meet your new favorite band....GHOST from Sweden!

"Opus Eponymous" is an instant classic in my book, from the totally awesome overly Satanic lyrics, to the catchy lyrics and riffs. It's brilliant that this wasn't recorded in 1986 and that Heavy Metal is still alive and well in Sweden. Check out their first ever video interview, all of the band members are nameless and take keeping who they truly are very secretive.  I personally think is cool as shit that some people still take the theatrical aspects of Metal and can get away with it in a way that works in their favor. Ghost is not some over hyped band, or a band everyone will enjoy. But with those of us who love hearing about Black Masses, Witches, Satan, and the end of days this 34 minute beast of a recording leaves me wanting more.
Ghost is made up of six nameless ghouls and I think that is pretty fucking cool.
So man up, throw on this record, and fucking enjoy!
Download.

Female Of The Day 08/08/11 Goes To Krysten Ritter/Quote Of The Year

Hot is too easy of a word to describe the way I love actress Krysten Ritter. By all means fuck Hollywood, but there is no fucking with AMC's monolithic masterpiece, "Breaking Bad"(TEASER:Last night seeing Walt with his DEA Chode In-Law looking over at Gale's lab notes got me so stoked.) Krysten starred in Season 2 as Jesse's junkie girl with the name of Jane. Probably the most attractive junkie I have ever laid eyes on.  Hell she put Walter White in his place and got Jesse hooked on the "Scag". But then she OD'd on the show causing a massive backlash and even a plane crash!
I've met plenty of women who reminded me of this character but turning up emotionally like a plane crash underneath some makeup. Being a strong women to me is a huge turn on, being a drug addict who is a women ehh, not so much unless she has some killer bud to share! Im sure in reality Krysten probably wouldn't want to share a bong rip with me and listen to Sleep-Holy Mountain in its entirety, even though we would probably totally have a killer time and not even kiss after (unless she wanted to smash!). The next girl I meet and have a fresh start with Im keeping it professional and friendly. Unless Im watching ,"Lost In Translation" (check out my earlier review for the film of the month for this August.)
Pretty much one of the reasons aside from my fleeing boyish good looks, and awesome facial hair that I get women is that I always want that one girl I know I can't get, so others try to make me fall for them which normally will end like a relationship on Seinfeld. Why is it so hard to just sustain a normal decent relationship these days? I blame the internet and peoples inabilities to be themselves. Sure getting laid is great, but making it everything and making it easy to access is starting to get old at the ripe age of 26.
I hate being alone and have tried, and tried again to replace my last real girl of a few years who was amazing and we remain friends. But I think me chasing after a similar women who likes me for me normally bites me in the ass. But also while I can never get what I want due to insanity, liars, chicks you think are down with you then show up with another dudes engagement ring, fucksake it gets old. So there is reason number 36,734 that Im moving to Austin. I want to find someone who makes me feel special for me again, not just a fling. Friends first, then hell see what happens? I could really use some good platonic female friends as well since my life is a giant Dudefest anymore, aside from telephone calls and text messages to other states. I don't talk to anyone here in PA who is a female these days aside from my ex. So if you happen to read this for some reason Miss Krysten Ritter, would you like to grab some dinner at Wahoo's when I move to Austin this October? Ah delusions of grandeur.
Beautiful women right here.
Im working another brutal 12am-8am shift tonight so I will not be able to update the blog but I will leave you with the start of a short story Im working on and your daily record suggestion. I hope you enjoy both, and the mixed content of this blog.
Currently slaying: Dawnbringer-Nucleus
Amazing heavy tunes to let your hair grow three inches to and get awesome! Highly recomended.
Im off to eat some Chinese.
Here is the start of my latest short story:
Basement life had grown old for Tim Robinson. The sunlight felt like some sort of unwanted disease on his skin, the way it seared his eyes disgusted him. The snow would arrive soon, along with the longer evenings where Tim had gotten most of his daily routines set in stone. Graveyard shift at the local shithole supermarket wasn’t all it was cut out to be as the look of his local manager sickened him to the bones. Each word from each costumer made him want to smash his fist into their pretty face exposing his pure hatred for human contact. But this was all bottled up inside, a ticking time bomb so to speak. Tim had some friends around the market including a young girl with hair as black as the day the sun burns out and the inside of the world goes cold like his heart. Her name was Denise Dywan the two had gone to school together and always were close.

Denise seemed to enjoy Tim’s company and made his agonizing eight hours of helping his dreadful community fly by like an airplane trip across the Atlantic. But her flaw wasn’t her smile, nor was it the way she argued that Killing Joke was better than Joy Division. It was all of the assholes she brought around and who picked her up year after year in their multiple Fords, Hondas, whatever these ballbags could roach off of their families to impress her. She fell for it every time, and each time Tim was the ears to hear the heartache. Too afraid to spew out his own feelings onto her loving ears.
And the quote of the year goes to......

Who Really Won This Years Ride 2 Glory? Should You Care? Well Vote For The Best Edits As Posted Below And Lets See Shall We

1. Im not being biased, (Sorry Jack Dub) but Grant Smith is one amazing human being. Brilliant just like this edit. Click on the link to watch and vote. Alot of fire moves in here.

2. The DUB Bmx edit is just insane, words cannot describe some of the hammersaws dropped. Bengo is a sick guy! Hangturn Hang Five! Benny L. Nollie to pegs to over hard 180! Just watch.

3. Verde Bikes have quite the offering in the form of Dave Thompson and Brian Yeagle killing it along with sick guys like Lima and company. You get quite the amazing edit and the final of my top three Ride To Glory edits that you should watch and vote for.

Deathstar Pool Edit

(Updated Edit V.2)
The subject of pool riding and BMX is about as common as surfers and waves. Some get as territorial about their finds and attack with vibe outs like rabid dogs from outsiders. Today was not one of those typical gnar dog pool sessions. This was a laid back permission pool in the depths of the strip mall haven known as Toms River New Jersey. Well at least the sticks of Toms River.

My old friend from back in the Woodward days John Decaprio who runs Deathstar Clothing invited me up to show me this pool he had under his belt that only had a few days left to shred. I wasted little to no time as John picked me up in his sick guy truck blasting King Diamond and picking up brews for some pool pre-gaming. The plan for early morning fishing was scrapped due to some Heineken and White Russians a few hours before sun up. Like savages we were hungry from our booze consumption and headed to the kitchen for some breakfast sandwiches, amazing when your a wee bit drunk. But soon again the hunger hit us, and a stealth mission to creep some left over Chinese food was in order. Egg rolls were consumed and even more Turkey Bacon was massacred. We awoke around 11am So it was off to John's local town to do some Yard Sale hunting. Now Im new to this form of shopping but yet gems do exist if you have the eye for it.

A few more stops and some concrete nails to build a vert wall on the deep end that John had some idea to throw some moves down on we finally were ready to shralp. The excitement of riding a spot you've seen photos of or just anything new is something few outside of BMX and skating can grasp. Rolling down that grass field past the empty main house laid the pool. I let no time go to waste and took first runs, John totally killed this very hard to ride monolith known as an empty swimming pool to the average joe. But we're here to shred pools, and technically break the law. Not have cake and tea as we watch the young ones take turns diving into the deep end. John's family owned the property and we had the Ok to ride bust free which is a blessing, TRUST ME.
Deathstar Pool Edit
We filmed this edit in around an hour and John seriously murdered this thing. I did some lines I was stoked on but couldn't really be bothered filming my lines, I filmed John destroy the pool, and he decided to shoot me do some airs which were not easy.
As we rolled out I put on a Wolves In The Throne Room record, we got some Hoagies (Subs) and soda. Drove back to PA and here I sit awaiting a 24 hour shift at work. Was this weekend worth it for a few hours of riding a backyard pool? Is that really a fucking question? That answer is yes. Who knows what the future holds for the pool, but one thing is for sure Im coming up on 200 soon, which means Party At The Moon Tower Boys! Thanks to John, Deathstar, and his family for being great hosts. New Jersey isn't so bad after all....eh Navaz?
Be sure to check out John's site Deathstar Bmx. Here are some photos I poached off of John, sorry bro I was too stoked when I saw I was on the same bmx site as my child hood hero Mr. Garret Byrnes. There is is Little Devil Brand: Seek & Destroy section an all time favorite of mine spotted on BMX Movie Database (best site). Which if you don't physically own the Little Devil videos find out why you happen to be throwing an overpeg to 180 down a hand rail in the first place!
Speaking of Van here is his cover down many of your new local trails in the O'Hara Woods in PA. These were Van, Trey, Kris Bennet? Im sure some others local trail spot when everyone lived around here and the scene ruled.

Back on track here are the Deathstar Clothing photos in question.

Garret Reynolds is also a sick guy if you haven't noticed yet.

Photo Of The Day

Decaprio took this while we were preparing for our New Jersey Pool Mission. Beers and White Russians all around! Sorry but Walter, Dude, and Donny were no where to be seen.
HAVE YOU SEEN HIM?

Slayerday Tunes

Expect an edit up of my adventure to a New Jersey gem of a pool later on this evening for Deathstar. Until then, and the story that will follow enjoy this amazing Alcest tune.
